Discipleship through CORE
CORE (small groups) is a ministry of Freedom Fellowship Church. The goal of this ministry is ultimately discipleship through a focus of Caring, Others, Relationships and Evangelism. This ministry allows small groups to meet in homes and at church throughout the week. CORE provides an opportunity to study God’s word in an intimate setting on a small group level. A small group CORE leader must be able to exercise hospitality as well as being able to facilitate the meeting.
Why do we meet? We meet in CORE groups for fellowship, to pray, to share the Word (Bible) together, to share and meet each others needs, to sing praises to God, to share a meal, to support and encourage one another, to share in a service or outreach project in the community, and to bring our friends.

Evangelism
There is a disease that is more deadly than the Ebola, the Black Plague, Cancer or Aids. This disease has inoculated the every human being on the face of the earth. If you know there was a cure and you knew how to administer this cure I'm sure you'd do everything you could to save as many lives as you could. The cure for mankind's disease is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The motivation for evangelism should be to supply the only cure for mankind's disease, which is the good news of Jesus Christ and our desire to obey our Lord and King.
The Kingdom will advance as we the people God, who are the righteousness of God.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, (Matthew 28:19)" by opening our mouths as vessels used to impart the words of life, that will bring healing for mankind's disease.
Fellowship
God created man with certain dependencies with the first being every person is depend upon God for life and the second is our need for one another. This is counter intuitive to the culture we live in, which screams a battle cry to its independence. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another (Romans 12:5). God created us to be interdependent upon one another. This interdependence in the context of Believers walking in the love of God is called fellowship. True Biblical fellowship is embodied by Believers who partake in communion, participation, partnership and the joining of one's self to other Believers.
Service
All Believers are called to be servants of God. Jesus said "whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant (Matthew 20:26)". Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28). One of the primary ways we can service God is by serving people. Service is demonstrating God's love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Christ.
Worship
As a believer we must understand the price paid for our salvation could never be repaid. Therefore we own the rest of our lives, past, present and future to God as living sacrifices, abandoning all claims to fulfill our own desires, in gratitude for what God has done in choosing, calling and justifying us. True worship is not just the Sunday morning experience. Worship is a lifestyle that is seen through our conduct, character, and communion with a Holy God, therefore we must conduct our lives in such a way that everything we say and do is done as an act of spiritual worship.
“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.” (Romans 12:1 AMP). |
