Freedom Connections

Would you like to know how you can get connected to Freedom Fellowship Church?

We at Freedom, recognize that as Christians we are a part of the universal body of Christ, therefore we must be committed to growing in Christ likeness through discipleship (2 Tim. 2:2) equipping God’s people for ministry and bringing glory to God in the process (Eph. 4:11-16).  This growth allows for healthy fellowship, evangelism, service, and ministry.  It is our goal for every believer to use their gifts and talents to fulfill their purpose in the local church advancing God’s kingdom plan (Matt. 28:19-20).  Our commitment to discipleship is the best opportunity to grow personally and to help others grow as well (2 Tim. 2:2).  Below are three areas in which we suggest you consider to get connected in our Freedom family.

Covenant Membership

This is the best way to get connected prior to serving, because here you learn the vision and mission of the Church.  The Covenant class is conducted by someone on our eldership staff, so you get a chance to hear my heart for the vision, care, and growth of our family.  The Covenant Membership class is conducted in one session on a Saturday from 9AM to 12 PM.  This is done at the request of the individual (s).  Freedom provides a Covenant package for you so that you can read it prior to the class.  Please see a Greeter to pick up your Covenant package today.

Small Groups

Freedom is committed to growing numerically, but more important, to growing spiritually as Disciples of Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47).  Our small groups are called CORE groups (you might be familiar with the term “Cell groups “or “Life groups”).  CORE stands for: Caring, Others, Relationships, and Evangelism, and represents our goals to be accomplished in these small groups.  “Caring” by a demonstration of devotion to the group, “Others” by meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the group, “Relationships” by deepening relations through the study of God’s word and discipleship, and “Evangelism” by doing outreaches together, taking advantage of opportunities to share God’s love with neighbors, co-workers, friends, etc.  It is our goal to see everyone connected through a CORE Community small groups.  You can find out where our CORE Community Small groups are meeting by referring to your weekly bulletin.  In addition times and locations are listed below.   Click here for more information.

If you want to serve in a ministry, but are not ready to Covenant with us, you are welcome to do so.  In order to lead a ministry, however, you must be a Covenant member who shares our commitment to our vision, mission, and values.  We have learned that there are many things to do, but we must always do what is best for where God has us according to our spiritual health and ministry ability and availability.  Our mission is “Changing lives, Changing the community, Changing the world”.  This is accomplished with a commitment to the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the great commandment (John 13:34-35).  Our ministries provide you the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and serve our children, youth, and adults.  Two things are required: (1) to be a disciple, and (2) to disciple others.  We are committed to pursuing excellence in our ministries. Contact the specific ministry leader (link to “Ministry Opportunities”) if you are interested in getting involved.  These ministries also share the characteristics of CORE given above, and facilitate the unity, care, and growth of our Freedom family.
