Newborn son: Tristan Strom (3 months old)

Things have changed once again with Tristan. This past weekend, Tristan's condition got worse, and the doctors have scheduled a surgery for him tomorrow so they can see what's going on with his intestines and address it directly. I hadn't realized before today how risky operating on a sick little baby is - there is a significant chance that he could die during or after the surgery.

We'd really appreciate prayer and fasting for him - his surgery should be tomorrow afternoon. The major risks in surgery are: loss of blood, infection, and damage to his liver. Please pray specifically that only a small portion of his intestines will show to be diseased, and that the doctors would be able to remove it cleanly tomorrow. Life and death are ultimately in God's hands, and we believe that God's purpose for Tristan's life is not yet finished. We really appreciate your prayers in the next few days. I will update you all as soon as I can on how the surgery goes, although I may be unable to return calls and emails in the immediate future. Thanks again.

Praise God for His infinite wisdom and great promises of hope. He has Tristan's house built and prepaerd. How awesome to be in His Holy presence.
May all the family left here be comforted by God's gaurantees and by the body of CHrist that surrounds them.

Tristan went to be with the Lord at around 3PM, 20 Jan. Please keep Luke, Hwa-Jung and their families in prayer – I will forward arrangement and contact information when I receive it.
